Bissap Rouge Mezcal Margarita

Ingredients 

Bissap Rouge (substitute for lime juice)

Cointreau 

Mezcal Tequila

Prep the glass

Run a juicy lime wedge around the rim of a glass, then dip the rim in coarse salt (kosher salt is a good choice), and set aside until ready to use.

Make the Margarita 

Combine the mezcal tequila, cointreau and bissap rouge and a few cubes of ice into a cocktail shaker.

Shake the mixture well for about 10-15 seconds or until chilled.

Place a few ice cubes in the previously prepped glass, then strain the margarita mix in the shaker over the ice.

Garnish with a slice of lime.

If desired add simple syrup or agave sweetener for a sweeter margarita to taste.
